Coronavirus regulations meant that the hospitality industry was forced to operate in innovative ways for the 2020 Summer, to help support the spreading of the COVID-19 virus. For example, customers could not share menus and waiters order pads as easily. It slowed down the customer experience, whilst speeding up the number of opportunities for the virus to spread.
When La Capanna, an independent Italian restaurant, got in touch and explained the situation, we worked alongside them to design a system that was easy to use, with the ability to pre-order food at point of table reservation – all through a bespoke re-design of their website. Franco and his team knew what dishes they had to prepare, and the customers had piece of mind that they would be safe dining.
This solution ensured that the speed of service for customers was fast, COVID secure, and user friendly.
